Michael Kyriakakis                         Meet the other Owners

 

Michael Kyriakakis began his career at a family-owned restaurant where he
gained practical experience in the operation of a successful business. In 1995,
he went to work at Bob & Timmy’s Legendary Grilled Pizza, first as a waiter and
eventually moving into the back-of-the-house operations as a cook. While
there, he became proficient in food preparation, grill work, front-end operations,
and opening and closing techniques. It was there that Michael established a
strong base of customers that appreciated his fine level of service as well as
his expertise in making the best grilled pizza in the city of Providence. That
loyal following has grown over the years and followed him to Geppetto’s on
Thayer Street, which he owned and operated with Mark Maginot from 1997 to 2001.
In June 2004, he teamed up with Mark and local restaurateur Gianfranco
Marrocco to open the new Geppetto’s on DePasquale Plaza on historic Federal Hill.
Michael has attended both the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island
College, taking courses toward a degree in business management.
